Luxury Camping in Haridwar – Lahore House Opens Its Luxury Tents to Pilgrims on a Permanent Basis
New Delhi: Following the tremendous success of the luxury tent accommodation set up at The Lahore House, Haridwar, during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2010, Leisure Hotels, a major player in Uttarakhand tourism, has now decided to operate the luxury camps as a permanent resort available to tourists and pilgrims round the year.
Developed as an extension to the legacy expounded by Haveli Hari Ganga, Leisure Hotels’ heritage resort in Haridwar, The Lahore House luxury camps are built on a beautiful heritage building on the Ganges and offer picturesque view of The Chandi Devi and Shivalik mountains.
Once the private residence of a devout family, Lahore House now houses 19 air-conditioned thatched-roof Luxury Cottage Tents spread all around its terrace, courtyard and the Ghat. Equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for, such as attached bath, running hot and cold water, 24-hr room service, a multi-cuisine vegetarian restaurant and multi-channel satellite television and phone in every tent, Lahore House is a perfect getaway from the humdrum of city life. Guests can enjoy exotic continental, chinese and regional vegetarian Indian food offered by the hotel facilities at the open courtyard. Besides, they also arrange special Jeep Safari to Rajaji National Park on request at Rs. 2,500/- per jeep only.
The guests are greeted with a traditional welcome including welcome drinks on arrival. In order to provide a holistic experience to devotees and pilgrims, they have also made special arrangements like escorted tours to Ghats, special ‘aarti’ at the Ghats, yoga and meditation classes, bhajans, astrologer for consultation, etc., at the camping sites. Besides, the property also has a private bathing Ghat on the Ganges.
The Lahore House is situated at a 5 minutes distance from the Haridwar Railway Station, and at a walking distance from Har Ki Pauri. Besides, they also facilitate easy transportation to and from the railway station in private rickshaws.
The cost of package for Lahore House for a couple is from Rs. 3,500/- only per night (including breakfast).
